There have been many special Invicta Divers in our history. But one, the Subaqua, has carved out an ocean-sized chasm in the hearts and minds of Invicta collectors. Very few have been offered since its debut in 2003, which explains the fervid anticipation for the next generation. Well the wait is over, but the opportunity will not last long. Only 1,000 examples of this hefty piece will be offered and then it’s gone. Completely hand built in our La Chaux-de-Fonds workshop, the NOMA 2 has an extremely bold case design constructed of solid 316L stainless steel and is outfitted with two sapphire crystals 7 millimeters thick. All of which serves its ability to be water resistant to 50 atmospheres (500 meters). Here are the details: Movement: mechanical; automatic-winding; Valjoux 7750 caliber base modified
to support the chronograph functions; ball bearing; stop second device;
date corrector; 25 jewels; 28,000 vph; and ETACHON with regulator adjuster. Read the full Review of this incredible achievement here.

With a waiting list as big as its diameter, our 1959 Russian Diver has become the must-have timepiece of 2005. Now with the addition of an open heartbeat, a sixty second counter, and two new dial colors (white and ivory), the new 2 should warrant quite a list of its own. While the original was an automatic, the 2 goes old school with a mechanical hand-winding Swiss UNTIAS caliber 6498 movement. It also features markers completely filled with pure Tritnite® for outstanding nighttime visibility.

As well built as the Speedway Chronometer we introduced in Issue 18, the new Swiss-made Speedway Chronograph is just as impressive. In fact, it’s nearly identical. It starts with the incredible Swiss ETA 2894 automatic movement with chronograph functions and date display. Then it’s on to the brand new design of the case, dial and bracelet. It’s capped off by a gorgeous steel and gold presentation, an Invicta Blue dial, and a pinpoint fit and finish. Read the complete Review of the Speedway Chronometer here, to see what kind of quality you’re getting with this new Chronograph.

If we’ve learned one thing in all our years as watchmakers, it’s this – when women talk, listen. Ladies have been asking for a stainless steel Baby Lupah with a mother-of-pearl dial. So who are we to deny them? But first, we subject it to the scrutinizing gaze of The Critical Eye. Read the Review here.

The trend in men’s diamond pieces
(Issue 20) is still going strong thanks to pieces like the Lupah Diamond
Sub Crystal. But when it comes to diamonds and watches, the ladies pave
the way. No one has a yen for high-end pavé pieces like women
do. And why not? Diamonds are truly a girl’s best friend. Which
is why our new Metro Swiss Pavé drew so much attention at the
2005 JCK Show in Las Vegas. Based on our popular Charmed collection,
the Swiss-made Metro is powered by a Swiss quartz movement, and bears
the same hourglass-shaped case constructed of solid 316L stainless steel.
It is available with a polished steel finish or plated in our everlasting
23KT Swiss Gold. But it’s the pavé punch provided by more
than 5 carats of diamonds on the dial, case and bracelet that attracted
sightseers like the Fountains at Bellagio. You may just be looking at
the hottest pavé piece of the year.
